Project info
For a new line of products by AiM, totally different from AiM background and core busineess, (this was challenging) i had the goal to create a line of technical clothing. Composed by a Winter Jacket, a Sweatshirt and a Softshell but with the possibility to grow bigger.
Studing the variety of condition racing teams and racers have to face around the world, brings me the convintion to take inspiration from mountain acitivities apparel, and the idea was appreciated by the AD, who gave me the opportunity to explore this field of technical products and materials.
Motorsport DNA
Every detail is designed thinking at Motorpsort acitvities. Stop-and-go, such as pit-stops, racing tests, shakedown, practice and qualifications are all about climate control. Periods of intense physical activity are often followed by long static periods where you risk overcooling. Thermo-regulating racewear is designed to meet the specific insulation needs of different areas of the body during high-octane activities in cold conditions, while its tough Cordura inserts make it ideal for rugged use.
MATERIAL RESEARCH
Work closely with our supplier, we choose the top class materials, from Zero Down padding combining insulation and a peculiar quality: even mistreated, folded or compressed, until occupying a limited space, it regains its original shape, a perfect feature for it’s use in Motorsport field. And the polyamide for the outer layer that provides durability, and is 4-way stretch, lightweight and water resistant giving protection against strong winds and harsh wheater condition.
